The high divorce rate of recent in Britain is a major factor leading to ever increasing levels of debt, a new report claimed recently.

Debt Free Direct has claimed that the break down of marriages is a significant factor behind people’s financial problems, which suggests that many are forced to take out a debt consolidation loan following the completion of a divorce procedure.

The debt advisory agency has reported that those who are divorced are a third more likely to be declared bankrupt. Of those divorcees, women are running the highest risk.

Females are 14 per cent more likely to face financial ruin and are 26 per cent less likely to qualify for an individual voluntary arrangement, which can prevent bankruptcy.

Heavy debts that are incurred by an ex partner are a major cause of financial problems, even after a divorce, with Debt Free Direct finding that an ex’s excessive debts are an underlying factor in almost three in ten bankruptcies in the UK.

Does your marriage revolve around your children or grandchildren? Do you and your spouse spend too much time apart? Have you grown apart? Imagine your marriage 20 years from now. How is it going to be if you keep up with your current approach? If you don’t like the thought of your future with its present course, then your marriage may need a spring cleaning.

Ernest Holmes said, “Life is a mirror and will reflect back to the thinker what he thinks into it.” Have your thoughts undermined a once great relationship? If so, you can redirect your thoughts and thus redirect the future of your marriage. Most couples put more effort into the planning of their vacation than they do their marriage.

Remember the days of dating each other? You couldn’t get enough of each other and gladly gave a lot of attention to your partner. After a couple gets married they are pulled apart by things like their career and the needs of their children. A routine develops and if the couple isn’t careful, so does a sense of boredom.

Unfortunately, your spouse tends to get blamed for the boredom. But don’t be too quick to judge. Simply because you have been together for a number of years doesn’t mean that you know your spouse today. People change. As men get older, they tend to shift focus from their career to their family. Women tend to go in the direction of career because they have put their career pursuits on hold for the sake of their children.

Don’t make your kids feel as though they are too young to understand your divorce because they may eventually hate you for it.

A divorce attorney will help to give you much needed divorce advice and direction for your divorce case. A divorce attorney sometimes may present you with alternatives to a divorce and ask if you wish to pursue them or not. At the age of sixteen I started going out with my friends to pubs and clubs. My friends seemed to find it quite easy to form relationships with girls where as I did not have any confidence in my ability to talk to them.

I used to think things like:

If I meet a girl I will have to buy her a drink. No problem you might think, however I found it very hard to order drinks at the bar.

If I meet a girl I will be expected to phone her at least once a day. The phone was my worst area of speech and something I only used if I had to.

If I meet a girl I will have to meet her friends and family. I used to dread meeting new people as they always seemed to ask so many direct questions such as where do you work? I wanted to have a shirt printed with all of the answers to the most popular questions as I would normally stammer under the pressure. It would be so much easier just to point to the answer or to say number one for example.

Trust based on our willingness to share our life with another is one essential ingredient in a relationship and our willingness to stop blaming another is also an essential ingredient in a relationship. Our willingness to admit our mistakes and ask for forgiveness is necessary and to be vulnerable and honest with another as well.

When a relationship falls apart, it did not happen suddenly. There have been signs along the path from the beginning and we have to be more honest than we have ever been in assessing our side of the relationship without placing blame on the other. We have to admit our broken promises and accept our responsibility for the failed relationship.

Did your wife or your girlfriend trust you? What did you bring to the relationship, which gave this person a sound reason for trusting you? Recall first time you lied to your wife or girlfriend no matter how small the lie? Accept the fact that this set the tone for the future of the relationship because one lie makes it easier for additional lies to follow.

The wedding could have been out of a fairy tale. Two people who were deeply in love came to the altar in front of loved ones to pledge their love for life. The first months and years were wedded bliss and you could not believe the fortune you had found in being able to marry your best friend for the rest of your life. Now, since time has passed, you have drifted apart. This is more than buyer’s remorse; it is a marriage that that seems to be headed down a dead end road toward another divorce statistic. You can put change the end to this fairy tale that has become a nightmare. You can be a part of saving a marriage on the verge of divorce even if it is your own marriage.

You and your spouse have a history together. The past months or years may not have been a good history, but it is history none the less. If you think back before the trouble began, it was a good history. If the two of you can move beyond the hurt, there may still be hope.

When you first became a couple, there was a common interest that brought you together. There was a time where neither of you could stand the thought of being apart for the day, much less for months at a time, but you fear that that is all over now. It does not have to be.

I still believe you can save a marriage before it collapses. Do not despair because your once blossoming marriage now lies in it’s death bed, you have tried to rejuvenate it to no avail. Their is minimal improvement, the last kicks of a dying horse. It has downed on you that your marriage is on its death throes and you ask yourself, “can it be salvaged? Is it possible to restore it’s lost glory? Can there be a solution to the problems dogging it? You think because your marriage is on it’s knees it cannot be saved. Because the marriage is facing a rough stretch does not mean it is the end of the road. It has not fallen. Whatever it is undergoing, consider it a trip. It is possible to save a marriage if you retrace your steps. If it was meant to be it will be and if is was not meant to see sun set, then nothing can be done about it. It is called the hand of fate. It controls a person’s destiny. You are not sure what tomorrow brings.

Marriage is such a complex institution. It calls for personal sacrifices, commitment and dedication in a big measure. In order to save a marriage it requires constant weeding, cultivation and watering. It calls for careful nurturing and tendering to ensure it grows healthy. It is better to try and prevent the disease than curing it when it has already ravaged the body. Rehabilitation might take time or have far reaching effects on the patient. Before sitting down on the negotiating table with your partner, understand the needs that your marriage is lacking. As earlier said, a marriage institution requires certain ingredients in order to come out successfully. Are you and your partner still sharing the same dreams that brought you together? Is the spark that ignited the passion between you still there or the fire has now either subsided or died out altogether?

The title of the article mentions a big mistake. Screwing up could be as bad as having an affair to plain old taking your wife for granted. If your thoughts are to “get my wife back” then read on, help may be at hand.

What happens if you screw up and it results in you both splitting up? This is what happens; your marriage or relationship is nearly damaged beyond repair. You wife or girlfriend will feel they can never trust you again.

Trust in a good relationship takes a long time to build but a very short time to break. Is it repairable? Difficult but possible. I managed it a few years back but man was it hard.

Maybe it’d been easier for me if I had a “get my wife back” system back in the day. In your favour is the fact there’s an awful lot of good info available on the net to walk you through it. Info to use to restore that lost trust and ultimately get your wife back.
